A Magdalene House Empowerment Series

Healing doesn't happen all at once. It happens one step at a time. The She Series is Magdalene House's survivor-informed healing model, built around six pillars that help women understand their experiences, rebuild their wellbeing, develop confidence, achieve financial independence, and create lives filled with purpose and hope.

HEAL

SheUnderstands: Understanding Trauma. Reclaiming Self.

Healing begins with understanding. Through trauma-informed learning, guided discussion, journaling, and practical skill-building, women make sense of trauma, recognize unhealthy patterns, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen boundaries, and reclaim a healthy sense of self.

SheMoves: Reclaiming Wellbeing Through Movement

SheMoves encourages women to reconnect with their bodies through movement, fitness, nutrition, and wellness. Whether participating in strength training, yoga, walking, swimming, or community events, residents learn how movement supports healing, confidence, and long-term wellbeing.

EMPOWER

SheWorks I: Skills. Confidence. Opportunity

Preparing women to enter the workforce by developing job search skills, interviewing techniques, workplace technology, and professional confidence.

SheWorks II: Growth, Leadership & Lasting stability

Helping women thrive after they are hired by strengthening workplace communication, professionalism, leadership, problem-solving, and long-term career growth.

SheRises: Rising Through Financial Empowerment

Teaching practical money management skills including budgeting, banking, credit, saving, investing, and long-term financial stability.

THRIVE

SheLives: Preparing today for a strong tomorrow

Beginning before graduation, SheLives equips women with the practical tools needed to transition into independent living, maintain recovery, and remain connected through Magdalene House's Sister for Life alumni community.

Together, The She Series provides a structured pathway from healing to independence, equipping women with the practical skills, confidence, and support needed to build healthy, meaningful lives beyond exploitation.
